Livin' the Good Life

Ari and I were able to go with friends to check out the new Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point a couple of weeks ago. It was a good time, but I was pooped when we left!!

 Rockin the rope bridge.

Arrrr! Fun dress up in the little kids theater.

Peeking through the window in the house made of giant legos.
Ari has a magic floating head!
Water works. I think she and I were both "done" by this point.

Dressing up.

I had to go get Ari's Pass of All Passes last week, so we went to the Lehi Seven Peaks fun center (or Trafalga for us old folk). She LOVED the frogger ride, and giggled like a maniac the entire time. I think it's so awesome that she has no fear of rides and things like that. Ari was a little upset because I couldn't take her on the go carts or bumper cars because I'm pregnant, and she's too little to do them by herself, so we took her back later the same day with  Ryan so he could do some stuff with her. Too bad he was wearing flip flops and couldn't do the go carts, either.

We went to the zoo (again) because they finally finished construction and opened up the train.

They have cool new giraffe statues.

This peacock was just wandering around. Ari chased it until it sought refuge on the hillside.
We forgot her sunglasses... oops. I'm not sure what she's doing to the otter...

Yay for the train!

Here are some random pics from the last couple of weeks:
We went out for ice cream, and in my attempts to get a pic of Ari's blue tongue, this is what I got.

Look! I was crafty and made a car seat cover for the baby (with help of my mom, of course).

Ari and I got to see a deer up close while on a walk last week.

Ari being silly in the car, wearing both of her sunglasses and making weird faces.

Funny things Ari has said/done:
-At the zoo by the new lion exhibit, they have some partially exposed skulls and bones in the "dirt." Ari went up to a skull and said, "Are you dead or alive?
-She is obviously Ryan's daughter- when she is giving us pretend names, he is always Jorge. :)
-She was playing with Ryan the other day and wanted to jump on his arm while it was draped between the two couches. He told her that if she did that, she would break his arm, and then he would have no more arm. Her first response was, "and then you couldn't hold a drink!" I didn't realize that holding a drink was the main reason for having an arm.
- She has this thing about monsters. She likes to pretend monsters are getting her, and then she has little baby monsters that she "brings" with us wherever she goes. Some kids have imaginary friends- my kid has imaginary monster pets. :)

We are having so much fun with our girl. We even went to Seven Peaks, the water park, last week- we just didn't get any pictures. So glad that summer is finally here!
