Now for another story. Our lab lady that makes the crowns for us at my work lives up here in Suncrest. Sometimes she doesn't have time to pick up a case before we leave for the weekend, so I'll bring the impressions etc. home with me and drop them off to her when we can meet up. The night that Kendree sent me that text, I brought home a case and set it on the counter so I could drop it off the next day. The next morning, I could hear Ryan downstairs, stomping around, opening and closing doors, and I knew something was wrong. So I went downstairs and found out that our dog, Chuck, managed to get the bag with the impression off of my counter and ate it. He ATE it. I had a MELTDOWN. I am talking- wailing and gnashing of teeth, my world is ending, I'm so fired- type of meltdown. Ryan had to stay home with me for 30 minutes before he left for work to help calm me down and make sure I was okay. I even woke up Ari with my screaming and freaked her out, so she started crying. Ryan had to put Chuck in his kennel to protect him from me. It was BAD.
The impression-eating culprit. Don't let the sad face fool you. Little stinker took 3 raw chicken breasts off of my cutting board this week, too.
I can't figure out how to rotate this thing...
We took Ari to our appointment so she could see the baby, and I'd planned to video her when they announced what it was to get her reaction, but it was just too awkward to pay attention and manage the phone. Plus she didn't even react anyway. In fact, when we went up for my doctors appointment, she kept saying it was a girl. She now knows that it is a boy, but doesn't seem to care much either way. Ryan and I are very excited. Nervous, because we don't really know what to do with a boy, but excited. So far he's looking healthy, but they'll do the detailed ultrasound in 4 weeks.
They printed out an ultrasound pic that said, "I love Aria!" on it and gave it to her so she would have her very own pic of her baby brother.
Watch out world! Baby boy McLelland is comin'!!
This pregnancy has been pretty good, but more difficult than when I was pregnant with Ari. Hopefully that isn't a sign of things to come..... I had some bleeding at the beginning and spent a week or so really thinking that it wasn't viable, but then they found a heartbeat and I cried like a crazy person. I was pretty nauseous through the first trimester, but have felt better the last couple of weeks. I'm super tired (no shocker there), and crazy emotional. We were at a cheesesteak restaurant in Dec and I was trying to tell Ryan about this video: http://www.ignitermedia.com/products/2667-the-christmas-scale and I couldn't tell him the ending because I started crying. Not like, a little tear.... like CRYING. So, finally he just says that he'll look it up later, and I manage to compose myself. Sort of. Next thing you know, a super cute old guy wearing his veterans hat with all the pins walks by. Im my head I thought, "I should go shake his hand and say thanks so much for your service." and then I LOST IT. Obviously, I couldn't go say anything to the guy because I would have just scared him. Ryan realized I wasn't suitable for public and we left. When we were in the privacy of the car, he asked what had set me off, and I sobbed out the answer that it was the veteran. I was BAWLING in the car. Ari got all worried and asked Dad what was wrong with Mommy. He responded that Mommy was crazy. Yep. That's pretty accurate.
Ok. Enough with that stuff. We got Ari a big girl bed. Because there are lots of cousins, we figured that it would be easier to have bunk beds for when we've got cousins over night. She loves it! I was really worried about the transition but she has been great! For naps, we can even tell her to go take her nap, and she DOES! Because she sleeps on the top bunk and I don't want her climbing down the stairs in the dark at night, I told her to just call for us when she wakes up and we'll come get her, which she does. How we got such an easy kid, I don't know.
We got to watch Ari's friend for a couple of hours the other day and they had lots of fun dressing up:
Yep, she's kissing him.
This is how you hug a fish.
Welp, that's about it for now.
